Almond Butter with Honey and Banana Sandwich
Okay… this is a serious late night snack post for me. It was one of those nights where you can’t fall asleep because you just need SOMETHING sweet and savory… and I really hit the jackpot with this one. I just threw together a few things I had around but woahhhh this was yummy. I really try to keep only healthy ingredients on hand so for the most part this was pretty healthy… maybe I cheated a little 🙂
Ingredients:
2 slices of whole wheat bread (lets make it semi-healthy)
1/2 of a banana
teaspoon of chocolate chips
1 oz almond butter (I used Justin’s nut butter snack pack)
1 tsp honey
1 tsp butter
Directions:
Heat up a pan with about 1 tsp butter. Spread almond butter on one slice of bread and lay out banana slices. Place the slice of bread in the pan to start toasting. Then, drizzle the honey and chocolate chips and place the other slice of bread on top. Cook for about 2 minutes on the first side, and one minute on the second. Now, go ahead and devour this pretty guilt-free late night snack 🙂
