A Whipped Icing Cake For My New Nephew!
Y’all – I’m an AUNT!!! Our family has been reserving our names for the past oh, I don’t know, 9 months now, of what we wanted our new little man Max to call us when he starts to talk. Mine will be Aunt Leelee, since I don’t think I have ever met a little kid able to pronounce his Z’s very easily :). My whole family has just been over the moon since my nephew’s birth, and now starts a very special time in our lives.
One week after his birth, means its time for his bris. A bris is a Jewish ceremony and celebration in which a Jewish boy is circumcised. When I was charged with dessert I have to admit, I was a little bit…. Uneasy. If you follow me regularly you will know I rarely ever post desserts, baking has just never been my thing. Then, as fate would have it, I learned about convenient Whipped Icing treats from the grocery store bakery. This is when the light bulb went off. I decided to order a cake with Whipped Icing for Max’s bris, and full disclosure – it is the best icing I have ever had on a cake. EVER.
I usually have a major issue with the amount of sugar in cakes I buy at bakeries. It’s just way too much, and I feel like crap after. That was not the case at all with this Whipped Icing, which is why I am so excited to actually share about a brand I believe in so strongly.
I also made some really cute desserts like chocolate dipped rice crispy treats, and chocolate covered pretzels – both super easy to make. I simply melted white bark chocolate, died some of it blue, dipped the treats, and then drizzled the opposite color on top. So easy and so cute if you have an upcoming shower!
If you aren’t familiar with Whipped Icing, let me break it down for you.
- You can order it on your custom cake or cupcakes at your local grocery bakery!
- It has a far superior taste to your traditional, heavier icing.
- It has a decadently smooth and fluffy texture, just sweet enough, but not nearly as sweet as typical cake icing.
- Whipped is a healthier option, lower in sugar and calories than buttercream icing.
- NO TRANS FAT.
- It comes in a ton of unique flavors like Cookies-n-Creme, S’mores, and Salted Caramel.
You can even tell in this photo how light and fluffy the Whipped Icing is – I love it! If you are interested in this type of frosting for your next cake, all you have to do is go to your grocery bakery and simply ask for whipped. I got this cake from my local Kroger, but Whipped Icing is available at most local grocery store bakeries. To be honest, I had stopped taking sponsored post over the past few months. The reason for this was mostly because I wanted to get back to the authentic reasons that I started this blog to begin with. So after a long hiatus, I decided to only take on brands in which I truly believed in. I didn’t at first know if Whipped Icing would be one of these brands until I tasted this cake, but I 100% stand behind every word I am writing here.
I wish you could taste this cake through my blog… it was so fluffy, I literally could not stop eating it! Needless to say, the bris went off without a hitch, and the desserts were a hit. I made a few other cute things for it – chocolate covered pretzels and rice crispy treats…. so yummy!
Oh and by the way…. here is my stinkin cute nephew :)!!! Introducing – MAX!!!!

That is a beautiful cake, and oh, what a beautiful nephew!
I had the pleasure of tasting this cake, and it was delicious, very light and not too sweet. I usually scrap the icing off of a piece of cake and just eat the cake part, because the icing is usually sickening sweet and made of the cheapest ingredients possible. Not this cake! The cake AND the icing were a delicious combination and long overdue.
Thank you for spreading the news of this icing!
