#Galentines2015: Guide to the Perfect Valentines Party!
Who said Valentine’s day was just for couples? We had a group of seriously talented bloggers got together to throw a Valentine’s brunch and it could not have been more beautiful! A great menu, pretty decor, and gorgeous cards with calligraphy – small personal touches add so much!!
Don’t over think the menu! Morgan (the foodie chef) made some amazing dishes and each one was so light and easy to make (well everything except the candied bacon… but it was worth every single calorie.) It takes a bit of prep but a few bite size apps can be filling and much more fun! Here are a few of the simple & amazing food ideas by Foodie Chef:
- Candied Bacon – I found a bunch of different recipes on Pinterest but it’s such an amazing snack idea and very addictive :).
- Do-nut skewers – such a simple idea, Morgan layerd a do-nut hole, raspberry, and blackberry on skewers – so creative and YUMMY!
- Mini veggie quiche – a basic quiche with eggs, spinach, shallots, tomatoes, and whatever else you want to throw in!
- Yogurt and granola cups – very simple, choose a yogurt, granola and top with fruit.
- Strawberry smoothies – throw in some fruit and juice to make a simple healthy smoothie!
THANKS to the AMAZING photographer who donated her services for the event (also my mother :)!
- Kay Bryan (http://www.kbryan.com) – she does photography for events, outdoors, portraits – just about everything you can think of!
