DIY Wine Cork Board, AKA I Drink Too Much Wine

by Lizzy W   |   July 1, 2015   |   4 Comments

I have never been a very crafty person – I always envied those girls who are pinterest craft stars, utilizing anything and everything they have around their house, reclaiming old useless objects into beautiful new furnishings.  Last night it was pouring down rain, as it seems to have every single day this year in Houston, so I decided to open up a bottle of wine and be lazy on the couch with the dogs till my dinner arrived.  One bottle of Kuleto and 3 hours later, the driver texts me that his car got stuck in the flood with my food in it and that he wouldn’t be able to make it.  So, while I waited for an alternate delivery, I decided to finally put all my corks to good use and be productive, and made this awesome DIY wine cork board.

DIY Wine Cork Board

As you can tell, I LOVE Kuleto wine the most, and also I am a bit of a wine snob – sorry about it!  This cork board was so simple to make and it is so pretty!!!  You can hang it on the wall, use thumbtacks and hang pictures on it, and so much more.

Supplies:

  • Hot glue gun
  • 1 picture frame
  • a lot of wine corks

Directions:

  • Leave the glass on the picture frame and begin to lay out corks, alternating some of their direction so that they all fit.  Hot glue each of the corks onto the glass and press down.  Some of the corks may need to be cut if they cannot all fit.
  • Voila!  That’s it!

Ah so simple! I have a bucket full of corks and I have been saving them for a DIY project. Cute idea! 🙂 I have saved the champagne corks too!

Love it, and you found such great corks too…
Sometimes get such plain ones, but those were all very visually stunning…
Keep up the amazing work Lizzy….
