Lamb Curry Feast

by Lizzy W   |   July 22, 2014   |   Leave a Comment

I can’t recall a time I’ve EVER enjoyed Indian food but this recipe has totally changed my mind – the flavors from the toasted spices are incredibly fragrant and flavorful, and surprisingly this dish ended up tasting really light!  And… it was made in my favorite new kitchen gadget, my Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker :).  I have to give great recipe credit to my teacher at Well Done for this lamb curry recipe & thank her for opening up my […]

by Lizzy W   |   July 15, 2014   |   2 Comments

Risotto has to be one of my all time favorite dishes to eat and cook, and this recipe I made a few years ago has to be the best I have ever tasted – this is a bold statement I know, but I stand by it 🙂  Usually I’m a bit of a health nut but something just comes over me when I taste this risotto… Every thought I have drops out of my head and I’m instantly transported into […]

Southern Fried Favorites

These past two weeks have been really rough for me recovering from my knee surgery.  I haven’t been able to cook a single meal for myself, I could barely make it 3 minutes in the shower without feeling the swelling ache of my knee, and I’ve been so helpless my parents have been making at least 4 stops at my house daily to take care of me – did I mention I wasn’t able to cook a single meal during all […]

French Vanilla Ice Cream

by Lizzy W   |   June 4, 2014   |   4 Comments

This is definitely not a guilt-free post but we all deserve some cheat days 🙂  I’m not saying this just because I made it, but this is the best french vanilla ice cream I have ever had… it’s so incredibly light and creamy with a whipped mousse like consistency, and the vanilla is so rich and aromatic, it’s just perfect!  Get the picture?  It’s amazing!!!
