by Lizzy W   |   June 2, 2014   |   5 Comments

NO ADDED SUGAR!  I repeat, no added sugar!!!  Well, there’s a touch of honey and chocolate chips but that doesn’t count…  hello diet friendly cookies.  These are so easy, prep time is only 5 minutes and they are so yummy.  Even better, I’m sure you already have all the ingredients in your pantry.

Weekend Blueberry Jam

by Lizzy W   |   June 1, 2014   |   2 Comments

I’ve always wanted to make my own blueberry jam but the whole canning process seemed a little too intimidating to me. Something came over me this weekend, some cooking bug, and I am attempting all the recipes I have been dying to make, including my own jam. I LOVE blueberries, and that is an understatement so I chose to make a blueberry jam, and ohhhhh its so yummy.

Beef Jerky

I got a dehydrator!!!  My mind has been racing too fast with all the ideas I have of things I want to dehydrate – so fast that I haven’t been able to sit down and actually do it, but finally I did!  This has to be the most simple recipe ever, but you will be amazed at how great it is.  There really is nothing better than home-made jerky.  Well, maybe a few things but this recipe is really amazing, trust me.

I have always wanted to visit San Francisco – great food, amazing culture, Napa wine country, beautiful scenery – what’s not to love!  We only had one weekend there so I really wanted to jam pack everything I could so we would leave feeling like we didn’t miss any of the sights.  Being the foodie that I am, my first priority was restaurants and let me tell you… we definitely found my new favorite restaurant!  Then…. there is Napa… with […]

Alaska in a week – It is so hard to plan out a week trip in Alaska because there are way too many beautiful places to go and so much to do.  After a ton of research,  I finally planned out an itinerary packed with all the things I just had to do while there.  Below is a list of the towns we visited, places we stayed, and things we did.  I can honestly say this is the most amazing […]
